Mitini Nepal, an organization advocating for the rights of Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (LBT) individuals, conducted a special program to mark the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOTB) 2023 at Bagmati Province in Kathmandu along with the global theme “Together Always: United in Diversity”. The event was inaugurated by Surendra Raj Acharya, the minister for women, children, and senior citizens. During the program, chief guest Acharya also launched a storybook “Together always: united in diversity” and a factsheet “Age discrimination impacts on older LGBTI persons in Nepal”. In between the formal session, one of the LGBTI couple who are living together for long and a family was also honored providing them with cash prize and letter of appreciation.
