The LGBTI elders advancing project in collaboration with SAGE, Outright International works for the LGBTI elders with the goal of protecting and promoting the rights of senior citizens, sexual and gender minorities, and enhancing their skills and abilities by involving them directly in the project. A factsheet “Impact of Age Discrimination on LGBTI persons in Nepal” was launched on May 17, 2023 that included a 2022 landscape survey of 100 LGBTI people in Nepal, ages 50 to 75, living in Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Sudurpaschim Province. The factsheet includes relationship status, living arrangement and housing, education and learning opportunities, income generation and financial support, well-being and health, barriers to health services and social services, discrimination and violence including recommendations
